It began eight years ago, when two families, the Lius and the Wongs, both parents who were good friends, went to Malaysia to for a vacation. There was a boy, who brought along his younger brother, and a girl, who was looking after her little sister. Even though it was a short trip, the young children played together and enjoyed each other’s companionship in a small apartment. Eventually all good things had to end, both families went their separate ways, waving their last goodbyes through the windows of their family cars..never seeing or hearing from each other again.
About four years later, the girl found him through an online friendship site. She only discovered his identity after looking at a picture of his family where she recognized his father, her father’s friend who brought along his family with hers years back to Malaysia. Afraid that he would not remember her and did not want to make a fool out of herself, she was hesitant to leave him a note..she logged off and never took a second look again.
The boy eventually went to serve his military service while the girl continued her studies in university, but nevertheless, there was a memory of each other somewhere in their hearts. Both led on with their lives, afraid to love again. Why? Simply because both of them were hurt emotionally from their own respective partners in their relationships. Hurt so deeply so much so that their own parents began to doubt their sexuality after being unattached for a long period of time. What’s truly bizarre was that both of their relationships started in their college days, and ended up as broken hearts around the same time..
A year later after the boy completed his national service and the girl who began her last year in university, the boy finally returned back to his personal site on the online friendship site. Being the curious one, the dimwitted boy finally went to check out those who viewed his personal site during his long absence. Whilst looking through, he clicked on her profile without realizing whom she was. After so many years, she definitely would change and of course, turn into a ravishing beauty. The boy simply thought why would a babe like her check him out. Knowing that he would not have a chance with her, he logged off without even looking at her pictures, where she had left a picture of her own family.
The girl was excited when she discovered the boy had viewed her profile. Plucking up her courage, she decided to leave a message to him, telling him that she was the girl whom her father brought along for the trip to Malaysia. The boy eventually received it, and had a faint memory and could not recognized her for she had become such a head-turner. So he decided to look through her photos to jog his memory. There it was - the picture of her family. Like her, he recognized the father. That left him in a shock and surprise because it was the girl who went Malaysia with him once.
Both of them had finally found each other.
