Birthday celebration (Part 2)

Another birthday surprise from my dearest ahboy.
This Bintan trip was actually meant to be a birthday surprise that he wanted to give me. He secretly msged my mum to seek permission to bring her precious daughter overseas and gotten approval. Everything went on well until one day, somehow, he couldn't keep the surprise after many questionings from me(smart me sensed something fishy going on). Also, he needed to know my passport's date of expiry. Thus, I got to know of this trip pretty early while ahboy is unhappy that his surprise is no longer a surprise. Well well, it's the thought that counts!
Packed my stuff for the trip and went over to ahboy's house to stay over since ahboy's mummy offered to send us to the ferry terminal the next day. It was my first stayover at his place, in his room. A wonderful night spent. Feels really great.
Finally the day arrived. After having breakfast that ahboy's mummy bought for us, she sent the 2 excited kids to the ferry terminal. It was my first time setting foot on Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal. First time going overseas alone with ahboy. First birthday celebration with ahboy. First time to Bintan. So many first times.
After about an hr's ferry ride, we finally arrived at our destination. Took a bus to our resort - Mayang Sari. Checked in and we eagerly proceeded to check out our resort and its surroundings. The place is simply BEAUTIFUL! It was a seaview resort so you should know what you'll be expecting. So 2 very curious kids went to look for their unit after getting their key. Found our unit - Octopus 4. It was one of the best units with no blockage. Ahboy eagerly opened the door. To my surprise, there was a bouquet of flowers with a birthday card on the bed and a birthday cake waiting for me! It was another surprise that ahboy decided to plant for me since he was still upset the first surprise failed. He contacted the General Manager of the resort to get the surprise done. He could keep surprises this time. Was really really amazed by what he had done. I've never expected him to be in contact with the people over at Bintan to get everything done. Asked him how he did it and he said he used very humble words and said that it was his gf's birthday and he planned to give me a surprise and they agreed. It was a flawless surprise. A very pleasant one that made me hyperventilated for some time. That's really very sweet of u dear. And I think he's happy that at least he still managed to give me a surprise. *melts again*
Splendid resort, beautiful scenery, perfect weather and most importantly, the right companion. What more can i ask for?
Had the cake for lunch and snacks over at the resort's cafe. Saving our stomachs for a seafood feast for dinner. Took a stroll along the beach, laid on the hammock hung just right outside our unit. The perfect place for relaxation. Went to the Kelong for our seafood feast. Nice ambience and good food. The night ended with cocktails in the room.
Buffet breakfast the next morning at the cafe was good too. Have always loved buffet breakfasts whenever i go overseas. After breakfast was the start of our adventure. We booked the All Terrains Vehicle (ATV). Still unaware of what we'll be getting ourselves into, we took the buggy to another resort and landed ourselves at the starting point of our adventure. We put on our helmets, got into the vehicle, fastened our seatbelts and after hearing the instructions, we're all ready to set off! Dear had a hard time driving that vehicle. With no power steering and maybe his P-plate skills (lol!). It was quite scary actually. On top of that, it drizzled the night before. The place was all MUDDY! Just imagine having mud all over you! There's simply no way you can escape from that. Mud was even falling from on top! Got really dirty from all the mud splashing. Thankfully we did not bathe (shhhh! it's a secret! lol!). But I must say it's a good experience and i'm glad we went.
Now that makes us very dirty and smelly tourists. Waited super long for a shuttle bus back to our resort. Ended around 11 and we gotta check out by 12. By right we should have ample time to get back to our resort, have a nice bath and finish our cake. But the bus came only at 11.55! So there we have to rush back, grab all our stuff just in time to check out. What happens to the 2 dirty and smelly kids? We gotta get beach towels and bathe in public toilets. What an experience. 2 Luo Puo tourists. Haha.
Got another surprise when one of the resort staff approached me and asked if i'm Ms Jasmine while we're waiting for the bus to get to the ferry terminal. He's actually the manager that ahboy liaised with to get the flowers and cake. The cake was a complimentary from the resort. He said he could instantaneously recognise me because i was holding the flowers. Very service oriented. Highly recommended!
Time for us to bid farewell to Bintan. It was a wonderful stay there. A quick and good getaway if you're thinking of one. But most imptly, you must have the right companion. For me, I had the best companion one could ever have. I had ahboy.
Dear, really wanna thank you for this wonderful birthday surprise. Life wouldn't have been any much better if you hadn't appear. Thanks for making my life complete. I love you.
